The 2009 Walk was held on the Bank Holiday of Monday 25th May.

The event was a great success.

1,040 walkers started the Senior Walk and 1,003 completed the course.

217 Juniors started and completed the Junior course.

The walkers were sponsored for a total of approximately £120,000.

We enjoyed the best weather for some years, although the unseasonal heat caused problems for a few walkers. The first walkers home were :-

The oldest walker to complete the course was John Hayward, aged 80.
