Minutes of Last Meeting
The Draft Minutes of the Caynham Parish Council held at Knowbury Memorial Hall Knowbury on Monday 5th July 2010 commencing at 7.00pm.

4. Declaration of Personal/Prejudicial Interest:

5. Minutes:
The minutes of the meeting held on the 7th June 2010 were approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record
6. Chairman's Communications:
a) The Chairman had attended the pre-meeting of the Local Joint Committee which is to be held at Clee Hill Village Hall on Tuesday 27th July 2010 commencing at 7.00pm to which members of the public are invited to attend.
b) Shropshire Council had produced a document called "Spotlight on the Shropshire Economy" on which comments should be made by the end of September 2010 copies can be downloaded from the following website link - http://www.consultshropshire.org/shropshire/kms/dmart.aspx?strTab=PublicDMart&noip=1&filter_Status=1
7. Highways Items:
a) Shropshire Council is in the process of carrying out a review of the winter service provision. They have all ready commenced an optimisation exercise on established gritting routes, increased salt stock piles and are in the process of procuring additional tractor-mounted gritters for use in particular severe conditions. Shropshire Council wishes to seek views on how they could provide an improved or more appropriate winter service.
The Parish Council would like receive information on the duties of a snow warden.
b) The Clerk was asked to report the overgrown hedges along the pavements of Tenbury Road as you approach Clee Hill Primary School.
c) The Clerk to report the faulty Street light outside number 27/28 The Crescent Clee Hill.
8. Planning Items:
a) The Parish Council had no objections to the following Planning Application
10/01972/Full-Construction of a low earth mound to act as a flood defence - Caynham Mill Caynham
The Parish Council made an objection to the following application
b) 10/02443/Full - Siting of a mobile home - Knowbury House, Office Lane, Knowbury -
The Parish Council objected to the application on the following grounds - Period required six years not acceptable - Inappropriate temporary dwelling for a mobile caravan/home - Overdevelopment of the site"
9. Reports from Outside Organizations:
a) New School Ashford Carbonell - Mrs. S Fleetwood reported that the planning application should shortly be submitted a further consultation meeting is planned for the 21st July 2010 at Caynham Village Hall 2.00pm-4.00pm and Ashford Village Hall 5.30pm-7.30pm
b) Mr. B Hardy reported that there had been a request by the Clee Hill Village Forum for a Parish Council meeting to be held at Clee Hill it was agreed that the October meeting would be held at Clee Hill Village Hall on Monday 4th October 2010 provided the hall was available.
10. Financial Items:
The Parish Council approved the following payments:
J Radnor - grass cutting - £52
K Adams - internal audit fee - £100
E-on - repairs street light - £174.35
The Clerk reported that an estimate of £317.25 had been received for supplying a picnic table at Clee Hill Picnic/Car Park area.
11. Amenity items:
a) Outstanding items - provision of dog gates, purchase of Union Jack Flags and the provision of notice board Clayton Close Knowbury
b) Mrs. B Ashford agreed to look at the problem with the footpath style by Caynham Church

The next meeting will be held at Knowbury Memorial Hall on Monday 2nd August 2010
