About us

A group was formed in 1998 to create a sensory garden to mark the Millennium. After 3 years raising £30,000 work began on the garden in the autumn of 2001 and was officially opened to the public in May 2002.

The garden received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award in 2003 and gained the Civic Trust Green Pennant Award 2007/08. A sculpture by the late Pat Austin is one of the many features in the garden.
