Village Policing
We currently have a Special Constable, Tony Riggs and two Community Support Officers, David Bryant and Lyn Birch. At the end of February 2007, PC Richard Salt took up the post of Local Police Officer covering Bayston Hill and surrounding villages.
Any local matters you think they should be aware of, please either telephone 08457 444888 Ext 69009 or 69007 or visit the Surgery at the Library on any Tuesday between 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
PACT - (Partners and Community Together)
All residents should very soon receive details of PACT. It is basically about bringing all parts of the community together to identify specific local problems and then solve these problems using all available support.
The Council would like to stress the importance of us all making sure we gain real benefits from this service by using the PACT postcards to inform the panel of any concerns that we may have. The three main problems will be looked at by the partnership and positive decisions made as to how best to tackle these problems.
Obviously we all need to be sensible and realistic when filling out the cards, but if we do not voice our concerns we cannot expect them to be considered by the panel. We must make sure that Bayston Hill benefits from this new initiative.
If you have not received a pre paid PACT postcard or wish to bring more matters to the attention of the panel, extras are available from the Parish Office.
