Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 6th September 2007 at the Cockshutt Millennium Hall starting at 7.30 p.m.

54/07  Welcome and Public Session

Cllr Dickin opened the meeting at 7.30 p.m. and welcomed everyone present to the meeting.  There were no members of the public present.

 

55/07 Apologies for absence

Councillors agreed that the apologies should be accepted.

            It was agreed that the minutes were a true and accurate representation of the    meeting and thus it was:-

Resolved: that the minutes be signed by the Chairman in presence of the Councillors.

 

58/07 Matters arising from the minutes not otherwise featured on the agenda.

  • Negotiations are still ongoing re the play area though it is being complicated by the number of parties involved.
  • A light is out in Kenwick Close. The Clerk to report to V & W Electrics

      Councillors have no objection to this application.

61/07  Code of Conduct Section 12(2)

            It was agreed by all that the Council should adopt para 12(2) of the Revised Code          of Conduct.

           

62/07  Local Highways Agreement

            It was agreed that Cockshutt Parish Council would apply for the Local Highways          Grant.

            Cllr Mrs G Webb abstained from the vote.

Action to be taken:-

  • The Clerk to invite Mr Manning to a future meeting. (Cllr Mrs R Milns declared a personal interest in the surgery item). The item should also be placed on the next agenda.

 

 

64/07  Parish Matters

  • The post to which the mirror is attached at the end of Petton Road has once again been damaged.
  • The road is still flooding outside the Leaking Tap.
  • The driveway from Meadow Lane to Crosemere Hall appears to have been changed from being purely an agricultural access.
  • There are numerous parked cars outside a house in Crosemere Crescent restricting access to the bungalows.
  • There are still dangerous potholes on the Petton Road. Hedges also need cutting.
  • There are complaints from parents attempting to park at the school that cones have been positioned in an attempt to prevent this.

 

Action to be taken:

 

  1. The Clerk to contact Highways Department re the post, the potholes and the flood outside the Leaking Tap.
  2. The Clerk to contact the Planning Department re the change of use of access by Crosemere Hall.
  3. Further investigation to be taken re the cones. Cllr Dickin to inform Clerk of the name of the road in which the cones are being placed.
