Community Safety Grants
As part of our commitment to tackle crime and promote community safety, Bridgnorth District Council is promoting there Community Safety Grants programme.
Since its inception the Community Safety Grant Programme has awarded just over £30,000 to voluntary organisations and local groups such as Crucial Crew received grants to go towards there annual cost. Stottesdon and Sidburyreceived funding for a first aid courses. Highley was granted funding to contribute to Alley-gates. Albrighton, Alveley and Much Wenlock received grants towards the cost of CCTV.
So are you a member of a community group or local organisation based within the Bridgnorth District, which has a community based project that includes any of the following Community Safety Issues:
- Anti social behaviour
- Substance Misuse
- Crimes against the Person
- Property Crime
- Reducing the Perception of Crime
- Promoting Community Safety
If the answer is yes then Bridgnorth District Council has funding that could be available to help you achieve your aims.
Community safety grants are awarded to support local organisations in tackling crime and community safety issues. The amount of grant awarded could be up to £1000 per community group/organisation. Organisations can apply for one grant per financial year.
