Domestic Violence Forum

The Domestic Violence Forum was set up in December 2002. It brought together interested groups from the PCT, Refuge, Housing and Residents Associations. The forum has provided support for a 24 Hour Telephone help line where trained staff deal with agency and self-referrals as well as providing advice and listening support and the ability to refer to refuges and safe houses. The forum continues to support the Domestic Violence 24 hour helpline by promoting the number in various forms.

Domestic Violence ForumThe Domestic Violence Directory
In June the Forum launched a brand new guide to help professionals point people suffering domestic violence in the direction of support and advice.
The directory will be distributed to professionals, practitioners and community leaders to make sure they can get the best possible help for anyone suffering violence in the home. It can also be found on Bridgnorth District Councils Website
The guide contains details of outreach services, 24 hour helplines and refuges and also features sections on housing, legal, counseling, education and benefits
