
Campaign to Protect Rural England Oswestry District
Being part of a group means that we have greater impact on issues that we tackle. At times we work together with other groups with similar aims; in recent years we have worked closely on specific issues with the Civic Society, OS21 and with Friends of the Earth.
Saturday 24th October International Day of Climate Action at the Memorial Hall, Oswestry 10am-2pm: Oswestry Transition Town Green Fair, Memorial Hall. Featuring Shropshire Wildlife Trust, Master Composters, Smallholders Group, OSTT and many more. Live entertainment including music, magician Paul Dabek and storyteller Helen East. All ages are welcome.

OS21 organised Question Time on Climate Change, Memorial Hall, Oswestry, 7pm on 24th October. Hosted by Radio Shropshire's Jim Hawkins, with panellists Paul Mobbs (Environmental Consultant), Peter Harper (Head of Research and Innovation, CAT), Felicity Norman (Green Party MEP candidate) and Ian Lucas MP (Wrexham).

CPRE exists to promote and protect the beauty and tranquillity and diversity of the countryside and to encourage the sustainable use of land in both town and countryside. CPRE is a National Organisation; the Oswestry District Branch campaigns locally on issues that affect the Borough of Oswestry.
