Alveley Parish Council is the name of the Local Government Organisation representing the Parish of Alveley,a large Rural Area to the South of Bridgnorth on the East side of the River Severn comprising of the Villages of Alveley, Romsley and Tuck Hill, Six Ashes.

Astley Village Hall is located 5 miles North of Shrewsbury Town Centre off the A53. The Hall is available for hire for meetings, family and community events and other entertainment. It is licensed for up to 100 people and has a kitchen, separate bar area and toilets. Parking in adjacent field.

The Bridgnorth District Federation of Tenants’ and Residents’ Associations is the official body that represents the tenants and residents of Bridgnorth District when working with their landlord, the Council.

Our group collects good quality unwanted household goods for repair and renovation with the aim of providing them to families and individuals during times of need.
These goods are also being diverting from landfill at the rate in excess of 2 tonnes per month, and in the future we aim to provide training opportunities for local people.

We are a small committee which organises the annual Bridgnorth Sponsored Walk. The Walk is held every Whit Bank Holiday Monday. It enables teams from the Bridgnorth area to raise sponsorship money for their favoured charities, clubs or organisation. With over 1,000 walkers taking part, it is a major Bridgnorth community event.

The neighbourhood forum is for residents in Castlefields and Ditherington to raise issues about their area. The forum is chaired by Councillor Alan Mosley and co-ordinated by a steering group made up of residents. It will meet regularly and will be a direct link between residents, the council and stakeholders like Severnside Housing and the police.

Clunbury Parish Plan Group was set up in January 2008 to assist in the formulation of a Clunbury Parish Plan. All parishioners are encouraged to contribute to the Plan and become involved in its production.

Cockshutt-cum-Petton Parish Council serves the villages of both Cockshutt and Petton and is currently represented by eight Parish Councillors. The villages are part of a wider farming community and are situated close to Ellesmere which boasts many tourist attractions.

Condover Parish Council is situated 7 miles from Shrewsbury and consists of the rural villages of Condover, Dorrington, Ryton and Stapleton. It has an electorate of 1,445. The villages are represented by village councillors who make up the 12 councillors who meet usually on the 2nd Wednesday of each month to discuss and act upon parish business.
