Who are we?

Village People is an independent, free of charge, magazine produced for the village of Hinstock.

We aim to include as much village news as possible and welcome articles from anyone. We also include seasonally topical items, a crossword, a sudoku puzzle and sometimes a quiz. It depends on how inspired the editor is !

A while ago, it was suggested that we have our own website so that emigres from the village ( and we have people who've escaped to both the USA and Cyprus !! ) are able to pick the magazine up via the Net. This has proved a valuable service - the feedback has been very good. Our thanks go to Mike Thomason for all his hard work in both the setting up and maintaining of the website.

As we said, articles are welcome. The editor has a hard life , sitting as he does in a cold garret, scratching his head working out what to put in next.

You can write about anything - what's going on, history of the village, moans and groans etc - anything ! The editor's details are shown below. Alternatively, you can leave articles in either the Village Shop/Post Office or the Falcon Inn. We look forward to hearing from you.
