Haughton Lane - Update - March 2014

An approval of reserved matters (full planning) application has been submitted by Lioncourt homes for 82 properties on phase one off Haughton Lane.  This is the first phase of four.  Full details and drawings are available from Shropshire planning website, link below.

Planning - Two new planning applications from Taylor Wimpey for a total of 350 homes

Land between Lawton Road and Stanton Road - upto 100 homes and 60 bed extra care home

Outline application (vehicular access for approval) for mixed residential development and care home (Use Class C2); public open space, landscaping, car parking, and all other ancillary and enabling works

Development Land North East of Stone Drive -  upto 250 homes and town park

Outline application with vehicular access (from Stone Drive and Lloyd Grove) to be determined for mixed residential development, public open space, earthworks, balancing ponds, landscaping, car parking and all ancillary and enabling works; demolition of one dwelling (18 Silvermere Park)

Planning - The Uplands - 68 houses

Redrow homes have submitted a full planning application for 68 houses at The Uplands

Also within the framework travel plan is a plan for the conversion of the existing house to a care home, 29 units built in the gardens, 13 two bed and 16 one bed apartments. (planning not yet submitted).

Planning - New Planning Consultations by Taylor Wimpey

Taylor Wimpey have sent two leaflets to 'selective' households in Shifnal.  Both leaflets can be downloaded below.  Further information is available at

Shifnal Town Plan is now working closely with Shifnal Forward, the new partnership group in Shifnal.  Future meetings will be as follows:

25 Mar 14    Shifnal Town Plan Steering Committee    Park House Hotel    7 pm

Thereafter, all Shifnal Forward meetings, both Steering and Action Groups, will be held on the second Thursday of the month.
